About Nijen
Nijen is a highly qualified and experienced Medical Herbalist, Nutritional Therapist, Functional Medicine Practitioner and GAPS Practitioner, passionate about health and wellbeing. She is dedicated to finding the root cause of ailments and resolving issues using natural solutions.

Nijen has a First Class Honours from Edinburgh Napier University in Herbal Medicine. As a Medical Herbalist, she is trained in herbal expertise as well as skills in the clinical examination, pathology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology and biochemistry. In addition, 500 hours of supervised clinical experience in observing and treating patients in a clinic dedicated to training. She is experienced in treating patients from all ages and walks of life and has a special interest in complex clinical cases when conventional medicine has failed to help. She always starts treatment from digestive health as she believes imbalance in digestion often develops into chronic ailments elsewhere in the body. She has seen time and again during treating her patients that even subtle changes in the diet can reduce inflammation, improve blood sugar balance, increase energy levels and support a healthy body.

She is dedicated to self-development in her field and since her graduation has completed certification in Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS), Applied Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) and Nutritional Therapy at College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). She is experienced in treating patients from all ages and walks of life and has a special interest in complex chronic disease especially where conventional medicine has failed to help. She is currently focussing on training to care for cancer patients during and after cancer treatment.

Nijen is a member of National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), UK's leading professional body for Medical Herbalists continuously striving to provide the best patient care through the work of its members. As a member, she adheres to their strict code of ethics and practice and follows an annual Continuous Personal Development plan. Nijen is also a member of Assocation of Naturopathic Practitioners whose primary function is to assist its members in maintaining the highest standard of competence.
